Most floors that look safe aren't. That's where organisations get caught out.
Slip risk isn’t about how a floor looks. It’s about how much grip it actually has. We measure that grip, increase it, and prove the difference, so people stop slipping and you can show you managed the risk.
Typically a 57%+ reduction in slip accidents across 4,000+ sites.
PREVENT SLIP ACCIDENTS WITH SLIPOLOGY
5 STEPS TO ENSURE SAFETY, REDUCE COSTS AND PROTECT YOUR ORGANISATION
CHRISTIAN HARRIS
Slips are routinely treated as simple, low cost, impossible to solve, or minor. They are none of those things. Slips are one of the biggest causes of workplace accidents, injuries and A&E admissions in the UK, and they drive a significant share of public and employer liability claims.
The problem is that a floor’s risk is invisible. A floor can look clean and dry and still be dangerously slippery, because slip risk is a measure of grip, not appearance. Most organisations have never measured the grip on their floors, which means they are managing the risk on assumption rather than evidence.
That gap is where claims, injuries and regulatory exposure come from. It is also entirely measurable, and therefore entirely manageable.

Our methodology
Measure

Maintain
We run an end-to-end process to take a floor from unknwon risk to proven safe.
Measure. We identify hidden slip risk using objective pendulum testing, the method referenced in HSE guidance, rather than judgement or appearance.
Improve. We physically increase the grip of the floor to reduce risk at its source, rather than relying on signage or cleaning alone.
Prove. We re-test and document the improvement, giving you repeatable evidence that the floor is now safe.
Maintain. We keep floors performing at safe grip levels over time through planned preventative maintenance.
Outcomes
Our clients typically achieve a 57%+ reduction in slips

Successes
“I’d have no hesitation recommending Slip Safety Services to any corporate seeking to understand the detail of why slips occur, to drive a reduction in accidents, and to put themselves in a better position to have fewer successful claims against them.”
John McKie, Keoghs
Euston train station sought to reduce its passenger slip accidents. By applying the principles of Slipology, in particular implementing a best-practice cleaning regime, a significant year-on-year reduction in accidents was recorded.
This case study was published in Right Track Magazine.
The team that came to site were professional, efficient and achieved the right result in the time they said they would. As of this writing, nearly 5 months after the work, we have not had a single slip incident. A real result for eliminating potential accidents and insurance claims.“
