A slip or trip occurs every 3 mins costing around £1bn per annum.

Our slip risk assessment and consultancy combines over 40 years in-industry experience with the industry recognised pendulum testing method, as used by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) & UK Slip Resistance Group (UKSRG) alongside  ATP testing where necessary (the process of rapidly measuring actively growing microorganisms through detection of adenosine triphosphate).

Slip accidents happen every 3 minutes costing businesses one billion per year

Through these effective testing methods and our in-industry experience, we are able to produce a comprehensive measurable report to outline areas of concern and recommendations of services and solutions to improve slip safety within your business.

Thanks to our independent status you can take reassurance that our solutions are based on best advice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are my legal requirements?

The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 requires employers to ensure the health and safety of all employees and anyone affected by their work, so far as is reasonably practicable, which means balancing the level of risk against the measures needed to control the risk in terms of money, time or trouble.  This includes taking steps to control slip and trip risks.

How do you test the risk?

Pendulum testing is carried out using a swinging imitation heel, which sweeps over a surface in a controlled manner - allowing the test to measure effect - resulting in a PTV value - giving a slip potential.

What is the risk of slips and trips?

Slips and trips are the most common cause of workplace injuries and over 40% of all reported injuries to members of the public. HSE advise that the majority of all slip accidents happen when a floor becomes contaminated. Check out our services page for more information.

How much can I reduce the risk?

HSE estimates that with effective ongoing management you can reduce your slip risk by over 50%.
